In the book, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy , by Douglas Adams, the main character, Arthur Dent, is a man who has been in an accident that has sent him hurtling through space . He is then picked up by a Vogon spaceship. In order to show that he is not from Earth, he asks for directions from the alien being on board. To his surprise, the alien points at a planet and tells him to go there.
Upon landing on the planet after a rough landing, he is invited into a house where a large party is going on. He sees a plate of cheese and he asks if they have made it themselves. The being replies that they have made it themselves and they have made it themselves because they are not actually from Earth.
